    current version available is v1.4.0, beware it is a tester version. Use opencart v1.3.4 for a stable version. v1.4.1 expected soon

    Unlike a lot of the other carts that have become overblown and difficult to maintain the clear MVC structure of Opencart and rigorous maintenance of OO coding techniques means that adding extensions is 1) easy 2) reversible 3) commoditisable (meaning that there is an incentoive for 3rtd part extension developers). Having used OSC/CRE for 5 years I have rapidly come to appreciate the elegance of the OpenCart design and can affirm that setting up Opencart was actually an enjoyable experience – it just works!
